Frequently Asked Questions

  • How dangerous are the reptiles?
    • Despite our reptiles normally being friendly and docile, they are still wild animals that will follow their instincts if they feel threatened, this can include biting. Although none of our reptiles are large enough to do any harm besides minor scratches, I am very careful to not allow children to pet or put their fingers near the faces of the reptiles. I will be holding and in control of the reptiles when they are near other people.
  • Do you bring ALL the reptiles featured in the Our Reptiles? Section?
    • Although we do have some multiples of the same species shown (like 2 Ball Pythons and 4 Bearded Dragons), we will not bring each one if there are several shows scheduled close together. Instead we will alternate which one(s) come to a show. This is done to allow the reptiles some time to relax and de-stress between the shows.
  • How long have you had reptiles?
    • We have had various reptiles at various times for most of the past 15 years. This includes turtles, frogs, snakes and lizards.
  • I have a reptile that I no longer want, can I give it to you?
    • We would love to take in every unwanted reptile to give it a caring home and good life, but we usually can't due to lack of available space. So whether or not we will take an unwanted reptile depends on its species, size, and age. Even if we can't take a reptile, we can help you find a new home for it. Please see the Giving up a reptile page for more info on this.
  • Can we touch the reptiles?
    • Yes, the reptiles can be touched. After all of the reptiles have been shown, the audience will have a chance to get close to and touch the reptiles.
  • Do you plan to expand your show?
    • Yes. Our goal is to have a wide variety of reptiles to show to people. But only time will tell what we get and when we get it. Animals that we have and will eventually come to the show can be found in the Not Show Ready gallery. Animals that we hope or plan to get can be found in the Coming Soon gallery.
